Sweet Levi

Just today while I was laying on the couch Levi comes to my belly, Lifts up my shirt and gives the baby a huge kiss. He then looks up at me and says Bee bee. He is such a sweet heart. I don't think he knows there is a baby in my belly but he will sure be excited to have someone to play with in 6 short months.

Half way

19 weeks pregnant- almost half way there! Heres a picture of my belly. Do I look bigger than the last?

My body- I am a big fan of the second trimester. Things are going pretty smoothly, other than my tail bone pain. I have been sleeping well and eating well. Probably eating TOO well because I am finding myself to be hungry all the time. But I guess this is part of pregnancy. My weight gain is right on track with the recommendations, which I am very happy about. With Levi it seemed as if I gained an uncontrollable amount of weight for me to carry. I am just now starting to feel the baby move more. She is more active at night than during the day. "probably because I am on my feet to much" As I said in my last blog posting we will find out the sex of the baby on Aug 4th. I am still hoping it's a girl as I have set my heart on names and what to do with a little girls room. But whatever we get surprised with we will most definintly be thankful and just as excited.

The baby Length: 6 inches
Size- About the size of a
Weight- 8.5 ounces

What we have been up to- Lately Seth has been working uncontrollable hours, making it hard for us to spend time together. We have been trying to make every Sat night a date night, which so far has been working out great. Around early February Seth and I found a great church that is to our liking. We have been pretty involved helping with child care and bible studies every Wednesday night. Levi on the other hand is getting crazier and crazier every day. In other words he is turning into a two year old. Some days he does Ok but others he drives me crazy. Hopefully h grows out of this faze before the baby comes. Lately I have been trying to potty train him. He HATES it. I'm thinking I may just give it a break and start when he shows signs of wanting to be potty trained. Hmm what els. A while back Seth and I decided on finishing our basement. Just a week ago we finally finished decorating the bathroom and the guest room. So FAMILY, you are more than welcome to come =)

I'll post again after Aug 4th =)

Update

Hey everyone,
We had a Dr apt on the 20th, and So far everything is looking great. Baby has been moving and kicking like crazy these past few days. The heart beat was at a healthy 150. I know we have been telling everyone it's a girl but as far as I know were not sure anymore. We have another Dr apt on the 4th of Aug and will be finding out for sure what were having. I will fill everyone in at that time.

Week 16-17

On July 3rd Seth and I decided to get a 2D-3D ultrasound. After camping and hiking about 30 miles, I was afraid something was wrong with the baby. After confirming the baby was doing great the lady had told us we were having a GIRL. At 16 weeks its kind of hard to tell but she was 95% sure it's a girl. We wont be buying anything until Aug 4th which is our next ultrasound. By then I will be a little over 20 weeks and we will know for sure. I am convinced it's a girl so hopefully she was right. Until then this blog will stay pink =)

Some interesting fact at 17 weeks.

Your baby is hard at work honing his sucking and swallowing reflexes—all the better for eating. The finger- and toenails are beginning to grow from their nail beds, which would explain why he'll need them trimmed almost as soon as he's born!

Your baby weighs nearly 5 ounces and is a little over 5 inches long—about the size of a baked potato. Almost halfway Done

Were Pregnant

Again God has given us the gift of another child. I am so thankful that this pregnancy has been healthy and with no complications. A while back I had gone to the hospital for an ultrasound of my ovary. For the past year and a half I have had a cyst in my right ovary, and thought I would get it checked out. While I was getting my ultrasound the lady had looked down at me with a big smile. She had told me not only is my cyst going away, but that I am 7 weeks pregnant. It was hard to believe at first because I had taken a pregnancy test that morning and also a blood test 2 days before. I wish I could describe the way I felt at that moment. God has yet again been good to us and has answered our prayers. Levi has given us so much joy that we cant wait to see what this baby will bring.
