27 weeks

Well, it’s official: I’m in the THIRD TRIMESTER..27 weeks YAY

Boy does time seem to fly when you have 2 kids to take care of. Each pregnancy has been completely different and this one by far beats the other two. As most of you already know, at our 20 week ultrasound we found out that Judah has a two vessel cord. Of course the Dr. told us in a way that didn’t seem to alarming, but just hearing that something was abnormally wrong completely scared me. Me being nervous and of course scared, starting Googling two vessel cord. This did not benefit me in anyway, but only made me more panicky seeing what two vessel cord babies could end up with. Soon after, I received a phone call telling me I had an appointment with a specialist so they can do a more in depth ultrasound. The Dr. reassured me that Judah was fine; we just need to monitor him for growth. Two vessel cord babies are more at risk for heart defects and down syndrome along with a number of terrible things.

Today we had another ultrasound and Judah is growing just fine, the only thing that seemed to be alarming was the amount of fluid. The Dr. said judging by the amount of fluid, it could be an indicator that I have gestational diabetes. I got tested about a week ago for GD and my results came back elevated. My midwife didn’t seem to interested that I wanted to go back again “just in case” and told me we will wait till I am 32 weeks.. I don’t know about you, but that just seems pointless to wait that long, if I do in fact have it… Anyway, I will try and convince her to let me go sometime this week; I do not want any more complications than I already have had.

At 27 weeks Judah weighs in at 2lb 11oz and is measuring 27 weeks.. Except his head, it’s a lot bigger lol.

So far I have gained 17lbs

Even though I do not have much of Levis baby stuff, I have yet to buy anything new for this baby. Seth and I have been a little addicted to garage sailing and have bought everything used; this has saved us tons “Dave Ramsey has taught is well” Speaking of Dave Ramsey, I am proud to say that Seth and I are FINALLY debt free “Outside our house”. We both have been taking a financial peace class though our church and with some self-control and motivation, we have finally paid off all debt and cut up ALL credit cards. This is such a weight lifted off our shoulders, now we can focus on saving for our kid’s education, and putting half down on our future house. Outside of being debt free we are also in the process of selling our house. So far we have had 2 offers, but both have fallen though last minute. Hopefully before this baby is born we will be out of this house and into a townhome across the street. With this being said, please pray that Seth will get accepted into P.A school, as this is the only reason we are selling our house and tried so hard to be debt free. We will find out sometime in July or Aug if he got accepted and should be out of CO and into San Antonio around October. Anther blessing is Seth getting promoted to E-7, FINALLY. Since Seth joined the Military, two of his goals have been to get into P.A school and be an E-7. So far we have been blessed with the promotion and if it is Gods will, hopefully P.A school will be another answered prayer... we’ll see .

The kids =)

Rebekah .. She is a handful and soooo full of personality. I wish more than anything we could be around family, because this little girl would put a smile on every one of your faces. She is so sweet and can be so demanding at the same time “in a cute way” She loves to point at you with this evil smile and say “NOO DADDY” Reading this doesn’t make it seem cute, but I promise it is lol. Rebekah is now 1 ½ and hopefully we will work on potty training soon (wishful thinking) we did cloth diapers for a couple of months but her thighs are too fat and rub on the diaper, causing really bad rashes between her legs.. She likes to climb on tables to dance and more than anything LOVES music and tries singing to the best of her ability. She is more into Lego's than dolls and hates when I do her hair =( I have a feeling we will have a tom boy on our hands.

Levi is Levi =) so sweet and always concerned about others. He is talking like crazy “sometimes too much” and is trying to be just like daddy. His new hobby is going to volleyball games with Seth and picking flowers out of our yard for me to wear in my hair. He is constantly doing something, whether it is kicking a ball, jumping off the couch or pretending to fight Seth with some sort of object. Just about every day he kisses my cheek or belly, telling me he loves me =) He is fully aware that I have a baby in my belly and insists on rubbing it every chance he gets.

18 weeks

18 WEEK BELLY

Ok, so as you may know I do not keep up with my blog, let alone know how to write. This is WHY I do not update on a regular basis, just bear with me.
I am now 18 weeks pregnant, although this pregnancy has been a breeze with absolutely no problems, it does seem to be going by wayyy to fast. I feel like our little one will arrive before we know it, and we will be so unprepared. Seth and I are both looking forward to starting our baby registry and shopping for a few things here and there After finding out we were pregnant with Rebekah, we had a huge garage sale and sold most of Levi’s baby stuff. So we are pretty much starting over again. That’s ok though, I find boy stuff to be easier and more exciting to shop for than girl stuff.

On with this pregnancy…
I have been meaning to share pictures of my growing belly for a while now. Almost half way there and I now have a child size basketball to show for it.

I'm definitely feeling little Judah move, nothing crazy just little butterfly movements which I happen to LOVE. I remember being quite hungry while pregnant with Rebekah and boy is it kicking in now. I am seriously hungry ALLLL the time, I hate it because every time I eat I feel guilty. This is probably due to having gestational diabetes with pregnancy #2 and thinking I am going to get it this time around. Part of me wishes I would have it because it will force me to eat a little healthier.

The stats
Weight gain: Not too much, only 6lbs.Stretch marks: None and I am hoping it stays this way. I have enough as it is. Movement: Yes, almost constantly. Very lightly, I love them =)
Cravings: Fruit and veggies to be honest. I have to have my ranch though.
Sleep: Wish it was better. Rebekah still gets up two times a night. I am really hoping I get a few good night’s sleep before Judah comes.
Best moment this week: When Levi asked me if baby was ok. I love it when he knows a baby is growing in my belly. He always seems so concerned. I know he is going to LOVE having a little brother.
Gender: BOY YAY!

Labor signs: None thank you God. Way to stay in the game, uterus!
What I miss: Being able to sleep on my belly and my back. I hate sleeping on my side. I am sure this is where a pregnancy pillow would come in handy. THANK YOU Seth for throwing mine away… I forgive you though…
What I'm looking forward to: Hopefully buying the ERGO Baby carrier. Found a few used ones on craigslist.
Weekly wisdom: God chose me to be this little baby’s mother. It was not a random draw. That blows my mind.
Milestones: Judah is the size of a big chicken breast lol

Pregnancy update

Hello everyone, I am thrilled to say that I am 11 weeks pregnant. He or she will be due around July 29th finally, we get a break with eating so much cake in November and December. We both are so excited but scared at the same time, it’s crazy to think that we will be a family of 5. I am secretly hoping for a boy, but whatever God gives us of course I will be happy. I think Levi needs a little buddy, Rebekah seems to be pretty happy playing with boy toys and tormenting her brother. I am crossing my fingers that everything will go smoothly with this pregnancy and NO GESTATIONAL DIABETES…
